Divide and Conquer!

Read this article! Having dealt with a mentioned power company many know that conservation will cost more. The power company is a monopoly and if it loses money through conservation, which it encourages, it will add the loss to the dumb consumer!

Believe what you want, but we have energy to burn and conserving will cost you in the long run. This is an example of how warmer and colder climates look at things!

Kim Jong Is Ill

If you're like me, you are hoping for a Daily Double! We all got our hopes up over Fidel Castro's health, but were disappointed by his alleged recovery. Give it time because Castro is on the outs!

Now once again we must go through an emotional roller-coaster as we hear that Kim Jong-Ill is ill! We can only hope for a great outcome in his death.

But take it from someone who remembers the overkill of Spain's Francisco Franco, they have ways to keep them alive even in death!

The Beatles And The Lawbreaker

When a beer-thief was asked what he thought his sentence for the crime should be he wrote: “Like the Beetles say, Let It Be”.

That's when a judge decided to cite 42 Beatles songs to pronounce his real sentence! Not to mention cluing him in as to the proper spelling of The Beatles!

The Beer Truck and Drunk Driver

Call it irony or karma or twist of fate. A woman was arrested for drunk driving after crashing into a beer truck! Of course it is always the passenger who suffers the injuries.

Dilemma Profiling

An aquaintance of a friend was once stopped by the police and quizzed to the point of profiling. After all this person was in a district where the officer felt this person did not belong. It was a high crime district. The person was a nurse on her way to work at the hospital. It was 4am and the shortest way was in a gang and drug infested area. She was caucasion or white. The cop after getting the facts, bluntantly told her to find a different route because she could be in danger in that area.

The cop who saw a 'white' woman in the area assumed she wanted to purchase drugs or was a prostitute. Then warned her to change her routine. Hmmm...maybe profiling for cops is a GOOD thing. Especially if you have nothing to hide

Video Madness

It happens in the USA all the time because we have become a personal-injury-lawsuit-nation that wants to strike it rich over a boo-boo! The flaw isthat now we have video and logic that works against you.

A disabled man who claims he lost 90% of his mobility and is videotaped changing a tire, for example. Philidelphia was once famous for frivolous lawsuits...such as the empty bus that crashes pulling out of the station and hundreds file lawsuits
