Dr. Phil Goes Chicken

April 14th 2008 15:14
After reading this, it must be that I wasn't the only one who was disgusted by the incident. Dr. Phil is just an entertainer that was promoted by Oprah, that disillusioned people thing is some sort of a god. Either way Dr. Phil has chickened out of doing a show with the cheerleader he bailed out.

Now they are also using a staffer as a scapegoat for setting bail and going against, a-hem, Dr. Phil's rules. This was a blunder and the smell is coming from the head. Dr. Phil made a big mistake with Spears and his know-it-all attitude isn't always right.

Dr. Phil's Wrong Message

April 13th 2008 20:04
Remember those cheerleaders who beat on that girl and posted it on YouTube? You'll be happy to know that although the parents cried about the amount of bail to free their kids, six of the eight were out of jail by Saturday. The ringleader was bailed out by Dr. Phil. Of couse she will be used on his syndicated show to pass judgement and tell her how wrong she was. He'll offer her help. They'll have a group hug. The End.

Apparently if you commit a crime that is heinous and film it to post on the internet, someone will buy your freedom. Just in time for May sweeps!

Another Government Failure

April 11th 2008 22:18
If we build a fence will it keep out the undesirables? Not if it's at a border to keep out illegal immigration. The fence is just a band-aid solution to a bigger problem that plagues the United States, illegal immigration.

The Minute Man Project is seeing an increase in recruitment as the general public is getting tired of the non-working governmental means. Suggestions have been made to have camera drones flying over the border areas. Maybe enforcement should concentrate on the weaker areas along the border.

Italy's Image Problem

April 11th 2008 20:50
A porn star politician in Italy is showing her best side on the campaign photos, her butt. Leave it to Italy to elect porn stars to their parliament...seeing their race as a whole is dying out, it's probably because Italian men use porn!!! Her name is Milly D'Abraccio, which in a weird Italian way means A Thousand Embraces as in I'll give you a thousand embraces!!!!

Well anyway, we shouldn't pass judgement without seeing her credentials or what she plans to do if elected. She wants to create a Love City not far from the Vatican! Now she actually has a right to do so, after all why not put a red-light district near a religious nation. You do know that Italy has many independent nations or territories within it's borders? Vatican City is an independent Nation

The Argument

April 11th 2008 04:48
Parents may argue about the proper way to raise their children. Although most couples split up over financial issues, sometimes it's over children issues. Who would make the better parent? Who gets custody and so forth? Yes arguments are endless on a variety of topics!

Now comes a new reason to argue and split. It was a bad time because the baby was just born. The argument was because the parents belonged to two different gangs. They argued over which gang the child should choose

...And Justice For All

April 8th 2008 21:08
A regular debate that comes up in many communities is whether cops who brake the law receive the same punishment as the common folk. The truth is NO they don't. If cops are convicted of a jail time crime, they can't be put with main population criminals. They would hurt, maime or kill them. In case you think I'm wrong, this happened over a decade ago in my area. A cop got jail time but couldn't be put with main population criminals because they have a vendetta with cops.

Anyway this isn't about something so extreme, but rather about a dumb cop

A Tale Of Two Muslims

April 7th 2008 21:57
Today's business world is targetting the Muslim populations. Months ago a story on one of the world news channels talked about how Muslims according to their beliefs must never go in debt. Funny but the Bible says 'let not a borrower or beggar be' yet Christians don't think twice about living beyond their means. If I am misquoting anything, just consider it the basic idea of what I'm writing about.

Now the story on the news talked about how banks and mortgage companies are going to make it easier for Muslims to buy homes. The basic idea is that it will not be considered a 'debt' but something else. Don't quote me but it's like a rent-to-own type deal. They showed part of the agreement on camera and the word Sharia was in there. The point is that Corporate America is gearing towards future demographics. This is not a bad thing, it is business

Beyond PT Barnum

April 7th 2008 20:16
There may be one born every minute but there are those that are at the head of the line. Who fell for that scam about sending money to an Ethiopian and you'll make millions in return? Must have been quite a few because the scam still is going on even after everyone on the Internet knows about it!

Now the 'net is still full of scams. The playing on 'greed' and 'stupidity' game is alive and well and there is always one fool ready to shell out money. Especially if it involves getting rich quick. But there are plenty of other scams to go around and always involve you sending money...no matter how small or large amount

Scared Straight Does NOT Work

April 6th 2008 17:37
Im the late 70s I saw a movie at my school called Scared Straight. The idea was to take a group of juvenile delimquents or wannabes to a prison where the prisoners try to wake them up to real prison life. They were kind of forced to see real prison life before making a stupid life-altering decision to end up there.

Now in the UK they are attempting to do the same basic thing. Shock the teens by sending them to prison so that they will alter their future by not making stupid decisions. I say that someone is making money off of something that has been proven to FAIL! Even in the United States these programs continue even though they have been proven to have an opposite effect and not work

The Holy Images

April 5th 2008 23:19
Warning: MAY BE CONSIDERED HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL. The opinions stated are those of the author.

In the entry about the Spaghetti Monster statue the point was to prove how people are more prejudicial when it comes to Christian images than any other 'religion' or beliefs. I actually believe in the separation of Church and State. The entities can co-exist but can never crash

India Needs Atheists

April 5th 2008 14:39
First of all, take a minute and read this post. Now maybe the title and this entry will make better sense. It takes place in a 'backward' village in India called Ranwatand.

Because a widow entered a Temple and put vermilion on her forehead, she was paraded naked through the village! The villagers gave her the right to a trial in their 'mob ruled' people's court. She at least got to keep her shoes around her neck. It's obvious that some women had a grudge of some sort

Put up a weird artform in front of a Courthouse, and see what happens if there is a TRUE separation of church and state. Check out what happens when the Flying Spaghetti Monster suddenly appears.

Florida's Misguided Teens

April 2nd 2008 20:48
When I read the article I thought it was some kind of a joke. There is no way that anybody could be this ignorant. The conclusions are very medieval with a modern twist.

Florida teens believe that drinking bleach will prevent HIV. These geniuses also believe that Mountain Dew will stop pregnancy and marijuana will prevent pregnancy

Airport Un-Security

April 1st 2008 17:56
In the past I've blogged about the TSA and what a joke they are. This opinion is shared by many travellers and airport personnel. Seems there is a discrepancy between security proceedures as to what is a threat and what isn't. They don't allow toothpaste, question speakers, and allow a dangerous weapon without a problem. The story that you can click on about the story at the site is here.

Soon the TSA hopes to shed it's fragile image by annoying you with sights and sounds. They will have a less stressful screening process. This includes the signs, mood music, and three lines instead of two. There will be more aisle room and all these changes are supposed to ease the stress

Life On Mars

April 1st 2008 12:15
Personally, I think this is an April Fool's joke but still it looks like a fun experiment. Virgin and Google have combined forces to give a select few the adventure of many lifetimes. Their adventure is called Project Virgle and they are looking for pioneers. Project Virgle is the first human colony on Mars and is expected to begin in 2014. It'll take about 100 years to colonise Mars and see this project come to fruition.

This seems to be a nice experiment for the lucky few that are chosen. Still I want to see if this really happens, because I don't see a human launch to Mars in 2014.
