Market Tricks

June 30th 2008 21:07
Supersizes are beginning to shrink. The product moreso than the price as container sizes begin to shrink. Some have even started making products look like there is more than there really is. Today we begin to see the reality of it.

This is nothing more than 'nickeling and diming' the general public. Many seem to be oblivious to it. Most also seem to not care unless it becomes obvious. That may have been the downfall of the airlines moves to charge for everything rather than just raising their prices!

Oil Companies Want More

June 23rd 2008 21:20
There is no doubt that there is oil in the United States. There are many oil states that are famous for oil. Many times oil drilling is protested, but it seems that even the hardliners are willing to compromise for cheaper fuel. But typical oil companies do things that make no sense at all.

For instance, they ask for new drilling land while where they leave land untouched where they are already drilling. It's like wanting to start drilling elsewhere before you tapped all the resources at your current sites.

It reminds me of utility companies that asks you to conserve energy, then raises their rates because they lost money by you conserving energy! They want us to conserve fuel, but fuel is all around.

Yes all oil companies are raping everybody on earth. Don't let Saudi Arabia fool you either, they sit on enough oil to power the world for at least 1000 years. Proof comes from these scientists who go to the moon, but can't find an efficient fuel alternative!

American Wussies!

June 22nd 2008 21:37
Slowly but surely, the men in the United States are turning into an effeminate wussies. Take for instance the fact that 88% of women and 80% of car buyers prefer to talk about hybrid cars! Yes, American men have always loved their wheels. Now they love the earth. They'll still end up paying more in the long run, since most hybrids cost more than some SUVs.

Then there are those who want to take away our right to bear arms. After all her 20-month-old nephew who loves Dora and Elmo started making gun fire noises! Of course she lives in a low-crime area and doesn't care if the criminals have guns in your area. In a perfect world there will be no guns and crime, but in the real world, crime has turned violent in the US. If you hide behind a picket fence you can't see it and believe crime is easy to stop. Live in a high crime neighborhood and see how honest, hard working citizens have to protect themselves.

It seems that men are being made to manage their anger and become yet wussier than ever. Of course this causes a build-up of rage that usually doesn't end well. We are allowing the wimpy wussies to cry and complain and get their way. We believe that sparing the rod and reasoning with children will lead to a better child. Actually it gives your kid a better way to manipulate you!

We make the villain the victim and the victim the villain.

Welcome to the US of Wussies!

Between The Lines

June 15th 2008 18:36
I'm sure we have all read news articles and missed the key issues of the story. Here's a sad story that has so many questions associated with it. If you read closely, it will reveal the cause of the end-result.

A teen dies after his father ties him to a tree overnight. He died after the second night he to a tree! This parent felt that this was a way to discipline him. A great genius of a father he truly is

Scary Japanese Trifecta

June 8th 2008 16:31
I couldn't make this stuff up even if I tried. First it was the Scary Ads, then it was the Monster Parents. Now in what appears to be a three-time disaster, Japan is yet in the news again!

This time a man goes on a stabbing rampage. He smashes his vehicle into a crowd then he gets out and starts stabbing them. He was captured by police and claimed to be tired of life. Couldn't have been that tired since he was still alive

Is there a way to stop the insanity when they involve frivolous lawsuits? Something that goes beyond a Petards dream is when someone is tried in the death of a pet rat. Never leave your pet rat behind to starve. Instead get a mate, let it loose, and let it breed!

This will avoid those nasty court costs. It should also be a lesson to snake lovers who will soon be targetted by the vermine breeding program!

Beer News

June 7th 2008 14:30
Science and beer are taking things up a notch in beer research. Soon your beer will be analyzed one sud at a time. As I was surfing, I came across sites that talked beer. So I said, "What the hell!"

Science is trying to keep beer fresher. Good idea for the most part. But I think if you drink something like Milwaukees Best as a regular, a stale Budweiser would seem fresh. Want fresh? Buy it from a microbrewery in a growler. Or learn to brew your own

Japan's Scary Monster Parents

June 7th 2008 13:44
Is it possible that this leads to this? Imagine going to your child's school play about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and everybody plays the part of Snow White. It doesn't say if there were alleged 'boys' who played Snow White, too, but without the Dwarfs, I assume that even boys were forced to play the part.

Seems that the Japanese are becoming latent-Americans. Since the schools were probably unkind to the parents, they don't want their children to get the same perceived humiliation so they make fools of themselves. In America we try to stop kids bullying each other, but in the process the parents bully the teachers for allowing a traditional and natural 'pecking-order' to occur. This creates a bunch of selfish-ingrates-without morals-that-assume-everything -is-owed-them societies

Scary Japanese Ad Campaigns

June 6th 2008 16:02
Snacks in Japan sometimes comes with a mascot. These mascots might be viewed as a scary image to most and the snacks may taste like inedible sewage. Although I've never seen or had a bag of Tohato snacks the bag mascot invokes nightmare images!

The description of the snack's taste is pretty sickening

Rising Fuel Prices

June 2nd 2008 19:56
With the worldwide rise in oil prices we may soon see a light at the end of the tunnel. That light may be an end to this insanity, or it may be an oncoming train. We'll see. We can blame our elected officials, the war, uncertain economics, and anything else we can conceive. Oil prices are sky high and we blame the profits of the oil companies. It burns me that when oil profits are discussed, people for the most part assume that it is one oil company making all those profits. That's a whole other discussion.

We tend to forget who truly regulates the price at the gas pumps. They are called OPEC and since 1973 have been using oil as a weapon. Perhaps to fund terrorism, but we all know that that is not true. If I were conspiracy-minded, I would think they were trying to restrict movement. But that is just wrong

Heathrow's Homeless

June 2nd 2008 18:30
It has to be the pitts to be homeless. Most refuse shelters because of the true mental problem individuals that frequent there. Some choose to live under bridges, park bench, sewers, dumpster, etc., or anywhere where they can feel a little safe.

There are at least 100 homeless people that live at Heathrow Airport. Most by choice because it gives a sense of security and is like a 'free hotel!' The homeless have developed ways of dressing and acting like travellers to avoid detection by security. This becomes a game of cat-and-mouse

I Want My MTV

June 1st 2008 15:03
It's tough being an adolescent when you're at the mercy of your raging hormones. This tends to make your brain operate on auto-pilot and do stupid things. Even when a group of these 'je-neah-ses' get together they just increase in stupidity. I suppose that it is unfair to generalize in such a manner, after all there are the smart ones, too. Yes, and puberty has a way of screwing that up.

We've all been there so there is hope. Hope implies that their stupidity will eventually turn into one of life's growing experiences where we learn not to do stupid things...or at least be smart enough to cover them up

Ode To Beer!

June 1st 2008 14:11
According to Joe Sixpack, it is time to get into shape for summer. Therefore he outlines his beers of summer that will get you into 'shape!'

Did you know that beer can save your life? That is as long as you don't drive. The writer must have been drunk because the title sounds like 'beer cans' saved that guys life
