PETA For Retards

July 18th 2008 16:18
If you ever had any doubt that Peta is for the mentally challenged then you need to see their current ad. It compares pet overpopulation to teen pregnancy. It shows a couple telling their daughter to nail everything she can. If she gets pregnant they'll give her kids to shelters or release them in the wild.

It should be obvious that Peta has no PR, think Pam Anderson. Their comparison is boarderline telling parents to neuter their kids.

"It’s irresponsible to let your children have unprotected sex and it’s irresponsible to not spay and neuter your animals when we’re in an animal overpopulation crisis in the United Sates."

In that statement it reflects Peta's total stupidity. Why is it the parents' responsibility to let their kids have sex? This proves that Peta puts more value on an animal's life than that of a human.

Oh think of the children in the middle of this nasty divorce. A Satanist father and a Christian mother fight over Sunday custody rights. If the father was given custody in the original judgement, then he has the right to the children. The mother wants to take them to church on Sunday, but Satanism is a religion recognized by the IRS. This means they are tax-exempt like other religions.

What would trouble me is: (Mr Meyer) says (Satanism) is about celebrating man's desires rather than worshipping the devil, is a real faith.

Why would he want his daughters to be taught a religion about celebrating man's desires? Oh, well, I don't really want to know, and to each their own.

The mother's lawyer is Pat Roberts. Am I the only one to find that funny because it almost sounds like Pat Robertson? Leave it to coincidental karma!

Shoddy Journalism

July 7th 2008 17:07
When you read an article in the newspapers it is usually informative and well structured. Rarely does it sound like a seventh grader is writing it. Although years ago when I took journalism in college it was revealed that most publications write at a seventh grade level. This is neither here nor there since times are changing!

I've read many news articles that make me wonder why I can't get a job in a newspaper. If you read this article you will see an ignorant journalist who can't even write an article. Perhaps, and this is pure speculation, he knows someone because he doesn't know how to work the art!

He talks about a tragedy then decides to give a weather report. Although the article was suppose to be about a fireworks' tragedy, the author finds it neccesary to tell us where fireworks are still happening in the area. Then he tells us about other firework stories with a happy ending!

So much has been left out of the story that matters. These were three different articles that were bunched together for laziness and convenience.

Perhaps many of us can apply to write for this news source. We can write circles around this hot-shot journalist.

As a side note, have you heard of the new words? Webster adds new words to the dictionary!
