Lawsuits and More Lawsuits

November 23rd 2008 19:21
Remember the woman who sued McDonald's because the coffee was too hot? Think what you will but that is why they now have to warn you on the cup that the coffee may be too hot!

Obviously the woman shared in the negligence as it was parodied on an episode of Seinfeld. The one where Kramer smuggled coffee in a theater. It makes you wonder if one's ignorance doesn't contribute to many avoidable mishaps?

In a similar scenario a 77-year-old is suing Starbucks. She is blaming the Starbucks employees for upgrading her tea and not helping her after she tried to open a lid she wasn't accustomed to!

Now a couple is suing McDonald's because nude photos of the wife ended up on the Internet. She sent him nude photos of herself to his cell phone and he leaves his phone at a McDonald's. The outcome is obvious.

God vs. Atheists

November 23rd 2008 17:58
In a stereotypical society, most view religious societies as having morals and being nice. Is there a correlation between religion and niceness? Are atheists actually without morals and mean? Based on American society the answer may be 'yes' as we see it.

Religious beliefs are a powerful influence on American society. A majority of Americans would not vote for a qualified atheist for president. This means a Muslim, homosexual, or a Jew would have a better chance. One has to wonder if we don't bring it on ourselves because we can't seem to separate church and state. Religion and politics should never mix because there are too many political parties and religious beliefs that most don't adhere to and argue their opposing views. Republican and Democrats have opposing views but in primary elections between parties arguments can get nasty. Religions all have different beliefs even among their own denominations. These are reasons why I believe that arguing over your beliefs is a waste of time in the long run.

In a study involving the largest Godless and secular societies, Sweden and Denmark, we find that they tended to have relatively low murder and suicide rates and relatively low incidence of abortion and teen pregnancy. They also tend to be kinder and less mean. In America, atheists tend to be outcast from much of society that doesn't share their beliefs. I tend to believe that even if we are religious, we should keep it personal, regardless of our beliefs. Same goes with atheists.

We live in a free society and have a right to our beliefs. The more religion mingles in politics the less freedoms we will eventually have. This also gives a right for politics to mingle in religion. Christ said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's. When Jesus got mad at the money changers at the Temple, He wasn't angry because those businesses existed. He was angry because they bought their state-run businesses at a house of worship.

Petard Insanity

November 18th 2008 23:24
Just when you thought that Peta's causes to end meat consumption couldn't get worse...

Somebody should really come up with an organization called People for the Ethical Treatment of People by Peta! They are truly going insane and they have money to spend. I remember when most of Peta's terrorists were rich kids that would vandalize organizations and people who killed, sold or wore fur. Remember Pamela Anderson is one of their celebrity mindless sponsor. She once wore sheepskin boots on Baywatch and didn't know it! So Peta has good monetary backing to do stupid stunts to get a worthless message out.

Well looks like the Petards have gone down another step towards their downward spiral. They have set up a video game that parodies Nintendo's Cooking Mama. Peta's Cooking Mama: Mama Kills Animals is designed to encourage consumers to contact Majesco, to voice their concerns in regards to the ethical treatment of animals.

Peta wants you to reflect at how stupid their agenda really is by taking just a minute to think about what happens to the animals who are killed for Mama's meals. They go so far as having the animals pulled from a happy barnyard scene to one of windowless metal sheds, wire cages, gestation crates, and other confinement systems. These operations are now known as factory farms, a Petard term like calling fish sea kittens!

I would probably play the game just to see how fun it is to cook and stuff turkeys. At this point I am actually thinking of starting a new blog just about the Petards!

The Fools and Their Lost Causes

November 17th 2008 20:25
A site called CRACKED puts out lists of weird things. I've included some lists elsewhere before. Today is a list of the 5 most retarded causes people are actually fighting for. Lucky for us Peta makes the list!

Why the Petards made #5 on the list is beyond me. They should be #1 or all 5 should be about Peta and their top retarded causes. Here we see their empathy-for-the-lobster cause and the extreme tactics they use to push their ideology

Many remember that great reality show called Kid Nation. I'm being sarcastic because it was one of the worst shows on television. Kids making adult decisions implies that the children are geniuses. Most adults can't make adult decisions let alone kids. Although with some of today's role models maybe it is time to let the children rule.

Now pupils as young as five have the right to tell their teachers how they want to be taught and what uniform to wear

Never Fear FEMA's Here!

November 16th 2008 16:56
FEMA seems to be preparing itself for any kind of emergency or disaster. This includes the natural ones caused by floods, hurricane, tornadoes, etc., and the man-made ones like terrorism. It seems that when an federal agency gets criticized for lack of preparedness, it suddenly prepares for anything!

So now everyone can rest easier knowing that your tax dollars aren't being wasted by FEMA on something really stupid. They have really done their homework and are truly prepared in any type of emergency, real or imagined. They seem to be really prepared for alien attacks and UFO crashes

Virtual Stupidity

November 15th 2008 23:50
It has finally become a world that does everything on a computer. Real life doesn't exist in a world that you can be whoever or whatever you want. Fantasy has taken on new heights as our computer truly becomes our life. Our virtual life seems to be what our life has become!

Enter Second Life a virtual world that mixes fantasy and reality. A couple met in a chatroom and married in real life. When she caught him cheating in the virtual world of fantasy, she handed him a real divorce

Puppy Love

November 9th 2008 17:47
It's that time of year again. The holidays when children anticipate the arrival of Santa Claus. Soon kids everywhere will be sending the letters to Santa care of The North Pole to ask for what they want for Christmas. Well same concept except that Christmas is January 20, 2009, and Santa are President-elect Obama's daughters!

Washington has been abuzz since Obama announced that once he moves into the White House with his family, he will get a puppy for his daughters, Malia and Sasha. Now a pound puppy writes a letter to them asking how things are going and life in the pound

Tolerate Our Tolerance

November 7th 2008 01:13
Sometimes you have to wonder if the Israelis are bringing the Muslim wrath upon themselves. A museum that is to promote understanding in a city divided by ethnic and religious rivalries, lacks any understanding. A part of The Museum of Tolerance will be built on an old Muslim cemetery!

Ironic, isn't it

Trick or Treat!

November 4th 2008 23:22
This is something that would have been just as well being posted in my other blog, The Dope Chronicles. Instead I am putting it in this blog because of personal reasons. First we need to rewind back to Halloween and the Trick or Treaters...

A seven year old boy and his nine year old sister were going trick or treating on Halloween. An older boy approaches the boy and asked if he wanted 'candy!' Now what kid would say NO? Obviously the older boy dropped something in the youngsters bag which wasn't really candy

In Agreement With PETA

November 2nd 2008 00:01
After you revive from the title of this entry, let me add one thing...to a point! I agree with PETA to a point. I've always disliked circuses and entertainment that involved death-defying acts. One of my first experience was hearing how a woman was killed in a circus act in my town. She was shot by her blindfolded husband who was going to shoot a cup above her head.

This doesn't even touch on the cruelty of having wild animals perform for the public's entertainment. This includes Sigfried and Roy, too. I don't particularly care for zoos, either, because most of the animals are neurotic due to unnatural conditions. This includes those who try to mimic a natural environment

Intolerance For Stupidity

November 1st 2008 22:57
Unlike people, stupidity truly does not discriminate regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, religious beliefs, etc. Stupid people walk among us and nobody is immune. I have zero tolerance for stupidity. Let me clarify that ignorance is not stupidity, nor are differences of opinions. Stupidity is doing something that might get you in trouble, hurt, or killed in a dumb way!

The following is just one of those situations where doing something as a joke might get you arrested or killed. Only because the vast majority of those who might witness this act, may interpret it as a dangerous situation. After all, how many bank patrons dress-up as would be terrorists when going to their bank? You are also carrying something that looks like a bomb
