Strict Sharia Laws in Saudi Arabia
October 25th 2009 18:09
Saudi Arabia has a strict Sharia Law that adheres to Islamic beliefs and teachings. Some TV shows have become so Westernized that the moral police is working overtime. A controversial Arab show can have consequences for a man who brags about his sex life. The female journalist may also be punished for her involvement, if any. She has been sentenced to 60 lashes.
I've written about it in the past, and this is yet another double-standard on the part of our 'ally' Saudi Arabia. Especially when it comes to women's rights. It is obvious that a woman will never have rights in Saudi Arabia home of Mecca. Although many Arab and Islamic believers declare equality of the sexes, most still adhere to the belief of women being inferior.
