Common Ground

November 30th 2009 17:18
Is it possible that Christians and Muslims can find a common ground in their beliefs? Christians and Muslims believe in ONE God. But the beliefs and interpretations of beliefs on both sides can cause more confusion than common ground.

Now there is another aspect that bothy Christians and Muslims might agree on. Muslim scholars reject evolution as 'unproven'.

You either believe in God or you don't.

Evolution can still be taught in science, which are basically logic conclusions that reject divine and supernatural intervention. To put it mildly, Science doesn't believe in God. Sad but true.

In evolution, our systems are similar to micro-organism. In divine creation, God found that what worked for micros worked for elephants and whales, too...so why change something that works?!!!

Religion can conform to Science, but Science can't conform to Religion. Religion is the belief that God created the heavens and the earth, to Science everything is based on theories and logic, therefore creation is BS! There is a logical explanation to everything. The Bible is misunderstood and ill interpreted. In Genesis 1:2, when the earth was without form and void, the dinosaurs and other pre-historic creatures including the cave-men could have existed. That doesn't mean we are related to monkeys and amoebas!

I went to a Catholic school as a child and evolution was taught in 'Science' class and God was taught in Religion. Science is science and religion is religion. PERIOD!

Islamic Barbie

November 22nd 2009 19:32
Meet Barbie in a Burka. Regardless what the advertisers tell you, this is just a way for marketing a toy that will increase sales for a future demographic. If Western Barbie is a big breasted thin figure doll, then the Middle Eastern Barbie must be a more subservient doll if it is to make money for the Capitalists!

Putting a Barka or any attire that symbolizes religious beliefs is nothing more than a marketing tool to make money. If it Westernized all you do is make it more suitable for your targeted audience. I'm guessing that Ken will arrive in a Lawrence of Arabia attire. Hopefully it will match his Western counter-part's attire and colored pink!

Celebrity Overload

November 1st 2009 19:29
What some people won't do to hog up the limelight from people who will never be famous simply boggles the mind of most common folk!

By now we all have heard about the balloon boy saga which suddenly seems to have faded into obscurity. This is probably because of the criminal charges that are being filed against the parents. The ends that the means had to justify is that the dad was in search of a celebrity status through a publicity stunt that went array when the young son, Falcon, sold them out!

That is the story of the octo-mom that is still seeking celebrity status through breeding litters! Nadya Suleman is so desperate for notoriety that she is dating Jon Gosselin to advance her non-existent career!

She even resorts to controversy in her Halloween costume. A pregnant nun and eight baby devils sounds like a reality show for the truly desperate. A perfect match for the octo-mom litter!

...and people wonder why I don't put any emphasis on Reality TV!
