Contributing To A Problem
March 2nd 2010 16:58
A controversial topic is looming on the horizon. A prize-winning author has sparked a debate over motherhood at 14. This is probably why some people should keep their opinions to themselves and not abuse their celebrity status!
Of course she blames the 'male timetable' for screwing-up a 'female biological clock' by pushing the natural time back by years. The author claimed that she was ready to have children at 14, and seems to apply her misery to her conclusion.
From the article:
Mantel was left unable to have children after suffering from a debilitating and painful illness during her 20s.
It was eventually diagnosed as a severe form of endometriosis and she is now patron of the Endometriosis SHE Trust.
Aside from all the other problems that this will cause, the author seems to forget the financial aspects of having children. She is clueless that it will be the child's parents who will eventually raise the baby.
The author is entitled to her opinion. Anyone with an unwanted baby that resulted from an unwanted pregnancy should give back to this author by dropping the children at her doorstep to bring her aware to reality.
