The greeners want Columbia residents to turn-off lights from 8-9 pm this Saturday. They believe that this is an effort to cut pollution and increase awareness of greenhouse gas emissions. Of course they use a flourescent mercury laden bulb to get their message across! Criminals love darkness because it makes it easier to hide as you rob and mug people.
Here's an entry that would have gone into the Natural Order but the message it sends is a conflicting double-standard. It wants you to save the earth, and they assume that a one hour gesture will reverse all the evils of wasting energy worldwide. The incompetence of these people shines in the fact that they promote the high cost energy-efficient bulb. The one filled with mercury!
Earth Hour proves that we actually believe that one hour will solve the world's ills. Oh if that were so. The fact is that an hour is the seed that leads to the tree of a lifetime. A lifetime of commitment to a pipe dream! The world will end when it ends and a puny man won't stop it...accept it!
