Diagnosing Death

I once thought a TV show was funny when a dead man could not be considered dead until a doctor declared him dead. Far-fetched as it sounds, it is true. It came as a surprise to me when I heard that doctors get death diagnosing tips! How to diagnose if somone is truly dead seems not to really require rocket science.

It seems that, although rare, there are cases of an incorrect diagnosis. When it involves death? Isn't ONE too many???

I guess it could be difficult to say when someone is dead - if you take into account the fact that differing religions classify death at different times. For example, some people say when the brain or heart ceases to function, one is dead, whereas other people consider death to be when the inner being has transferred into a rebirth...
