If you are going to commit a crime that might send you to jail for a long time, you might want to do your homework first and work out any fine detail. That is always true when it comes to robbing banks. You don't want your first to be your last. At the very least you might want time to spend the money!
Take Dexter Dwayne Williams, who gets a nomination as the dumbest criminal of the year so far. It's surprising to me because I would have expected a story like this to come from The Dope Chronicles! Seems the 47 year-old passed a note to a teller and managed to run with the money. He was lucky enough to bolt and get to his car. The employees quickly locked all the doors.
Williams ran from his car to a nearby shopping mall. Why? Because he left his car keys in the bank! Police found him hiding behind a trash bin a block away from the bank. They even located his clothes that he ditched in a nearby trash behind a store near the bank.
Yes, truly a dumb one. Dexter goes the extra mile for the nomination which makes him a shoo-in!
He wrote the note in back of his own check with his personal information on it!
Also worth mentioning is another dumb criminal. Well this criminal only tresspassed so that isn't a real crime, I suppose. After getting electrocuted while tresspassing atop a stopped train, Brian Hopkins is suing Amtrak for not protecting him from himself!
