Las Vegas Has Moral Issues?
March 30th 2008 16:46
Once upon a time, Las Vegas was nothing but an adult playground in America. Gambling and prostitution were once only legal in Nevada. One time, not too long ago, what went on in Vegas, stayed in Vegas. Then in the late 80s and early 90s something began happening.
Las Vegas became more 'family' friendly and tried to erase the 'bad' image publicity. That and the opening of Atlantic City and Indian casinos were Las Vegas' downfall.
Apparently there are dance clubs for the under 18 crowds. Now this community becomes like a page right out of Footloose the movie. There are people for these clubs, then there are the elders who oppose these clubs.
The elders declare that the clubs would "seriously effect the social and moral well being of the city." Social and MORAL??? This in a place where gambling goes on 24/7 as does legal prostitution!
Plenty plan to show up and protest the decision.
