There is always trouble when you mix money and vanity. Depending on your fortune, vanity can cost a pretty penny. Vanity can be as simple as being the Joneses that everyone tries to keep up with, being pretty and popular, thinking oneself as the center of the universe, etc. It can also involve a sense of status that means more and is worth more than ordinary vanity.
If you want the status of being #1 in the UAE it probably costs more that $20 million. We aren't talking about the vanity of being the richest sheik, but of being a low number on a license plate! Some money rich guy in the UAE paid $6.75 million for a #5 license plate!
So the next time you think of the starving children of Africa or something, tell the UAE to send their vanity money and un-starve the world!!!
