Moral Police and Valentine's Day
February 13th 2010 13:57
I wanted to publish this a few days ago, but something came up and I couldn't do so. We often feel our rights are violated when a moral-majority group tries to dictate how society should be run as a whole. They don't accept the beliefs of others as they try to force their beliefs on others.
Next thing you know we'll have the religious police breathing down our necks telling us what we can or can't do; what we can watch and not watch; who or what we must pray to and what beliefs we must never allow, etc., you get the picture. This is why we must protect our freedoms to allow all to live their lives freely without religious bondage. Yet we still hear of not being tolerable for freedoms and beliefs.
So now religion is going against Valentine's Day beliefs and traditions. The tolerable Saudi religious police is going after Valentine's Day. If people are alright with this, more power to them. If you think about it and most accept this crackdown, then they shouldn't have this 'problem' with anything Valentine in the first place!
