Muslim Dilemmas
June 8th 2010 21:01
There is a debate brewing in Canada if a sexually assaulted Muslim woman can testify against her accusers wearing a veil. What's really puzzling is the reaction by those accused of the assault.
From the article:
and the defendants – her cousin and uncle – argued that the complainant’s truthfulness could not be gauged if her face was hidden.
Hmmmm, so her Muslim relatives who committed the assault are saying to hell with the beliefs? Nothing fishy here, folks!
Remember that Mosque at Ground Zero? Well as predicted there are protests over the idea. It predictably ends up with racial motivated hatred. The crowd at one point verbally assault a pair of Egyptians who weren't Muslims at all, but rather Christians.
According to the article the Mosque is actually a community center and is going to be nowhere near Ground Zero, and blames the original writer as not having her facts straight. This remains to be seen, and if it is true, then my 911 Mosque article stands corrected.
