This is NOT a follow-up to the 9/11 conspiracies, but does show how conspiracies tend to spring up all over the world. Most Americans have heard and dismissed the rumor that President-elect Obama is a Muslim. These should have been laid to rest when it was found that he attended church services led by the controversial Rev. Wright!
Now it seems that the Middle East wants to get into the action by declaring that Obama is actually a Shi'ite Muslim. This even though his father from Kenya was a Sunni. Either way it seems that Baghdad is exploiting the rumor that may play as an advantage for the United States.
Other rumors that you may or may not have heard is that Israel is responsible for 9/11 and the Saudis will bail out the US economy if it attacks Iran. So the tabloids and conspiracies have gone full force in the Middle East.
