We are such a litigious society, that frivolous lawsuits are common. There are lawsuits by inmates in jails over being served crunchy instead of smooth peanut butter. A bus pulls out of its station and has an accident with no passengers on board, yet there are dozens of lawsuits of people claiming they were hurt on that bus. We sue for being bullied. We sue over anything and everything. It was only a matter of time before we started suing over our own stupidity.
Now there have been many lawsuits over getting hurt by ones own stupidity, but now there is one that takes the cake. A man is suing Amtrak, because they didn't do enough to keep his drunk butt safe from harm!
Somehow the drunk man went into one of Amtrak's yards where a train was parked and he tried to get into the train. When that didn't work, he decided to climb the train to get to the roof. He was jolted by 25,000 volts of electricity and is lucky to be alive.
Well, Amtrak should have known better than to let a drunk break-in and almost kill himself. It is obvious that they didn't do enough to keep him out. The injuries are definitely due to Amtrak's incompetence.
And they wonder why our society is the way it is!
