Scientology and Cults
July 7th 2009 22:24
I was an unfortunate one to have joined the cult movements of the late-70s. Eventually, I had the guts to get out, but it was hard due to their mind control methods. Once you start questioning things and you see attitudes change, you realize the facade they hide behind. They rely on your donations which keeps them rich and you poor. The thing with cults is that within them there is a certain pecking order, and the order is based on money. The rich live high and mighty and see only the good of the cult. The poorer ones are the workers, the used, the ones who must follow rules and orders to a 'T', and still must donate a certain percentage of their pay to the cult.
In the world of Scientology, I don't think you would have a Tom Cruise-type status unless you donate millions to the, a-hem, church. You wouldn't have the privilege of John Travolta and Kelly Preston who claimed son,Jett, had Kawasaki disease rather than autism, because the church frowns on autism. Yet, Travolta told doctors in the Bahamas that his son had autism. Read about this here.
Scientology has lined its pockets with delusional celebrities and victims of all walks of life. Tom Cruise has engaged in so much bizarre behavior that it should convince anyone that Scientology is a profitable cult scam. He declared on live national television that he knows more about psychiatry than(basically) anyone else. He then gave medical advice to Brooke Shields and diagnosed her post-partum depression as a myth that can be cured with vitamins.
The pavement of the Church of Scientology is lined with victims that were touched by the cult. In over 50 years since L. Ron Hubbard started his cult, there have been a number of victims. I've heard a few of these stories in the past, so read it carefully.
