In what has become the annual torching of the cars in France by Muslim youth, it appears that it fell short by 10 cars from last years' record. I don't know how much insurance is there, but 1137 cars is a lot of replacements!
The vandalism is attributed to marauding youths which is probably similar to a lone-gunman.
The car burning started with the controversial Muhammed cartoons in a Danish newspaper. Ironically one of the most controversial cartoonist was almost killed by a Somali intruder at about the same time as the festivities in France.
