The Swiss Picket Fence
December 12th 2009 16:51
Living inside a picket fence implies that you are protected and clueless to the world around you. You don't see the true evil that may be lurking outside your picket fence and you believe that everybody is a good person. In Europe, people are seeing their cultures and ways of life change as more and more Muslim immigrants arrive daily by the thousands. I've been there, so I know.
The Swiss decided to ban minarets, the towers on mosques. So a businessman...who is the very embodiment of Capitalism and money...has a problem with this decision. He decides to turn a chimney above his business into a minaret!
Of course this great businessman is doing this for his love of people and peace. He is appalled at his fellow countrymen and is very sincere about it. What a humanitarian this guy is.
Then he blows it when he states that Switzerland actively encourages Arabs to "visit the country and spend your money here." Now if anybody mentioned the 'money' part, maybe the Swiss should redo their tourism slogans. Remember that it is the businessman who is all about money.
Whether you agree or disagree with the ban, it's all about the money. Not to mention that some fool got free publicity!
