It happens in the USA all the time because we have become a personal-injury-lawsuit-nation that wants to strike it rich over a boo-boo! The flaw isthat now we have video and logic that works against you.
A disabled man who claims he lost 90% of his mobility and is videotaped changing a tire, for example. Philidelphia was once famous for frivolous lawsuits...such as the empty bus that crashes pulling out of the station and hundreds file lawsuits.
I knew a friend that was offered $1000 by a PI firm to use his livingroom to photograph a neighbor that was allegedly disabled and collecting disability and SSI. Yeah my buddy turned that down...NOT! For that much you can fry, dumb@$$!!!
Now I guess the UK is getting a taste of this caught on video frenzy. It is even more 'stupid' when you are at a wedding and dance on a wedding video, before you file a claim over a bus crash!!!
